Position Description

The social behavior and emotion lab is current searching for 2-3 post-doctral fellows with background in biology, neurobiology, or computer science. Applicants with electrophysiological experience and skilled operation of patch clamp techniques are highly desirable. The postdoc fellows are expected to independently develop their own research and assist in guiding students and technicians.

Application Requirements

1. Have or will receive a PhD;

2. Have SCI papers published or about to be published as the first author;

3. Candidates with the following research experience are desirable: electrophysiology, Calcium imaging, computational neuroscience, bioinformatics, molecular biology;

4. Be fluent in English reading and writing, have strong sense of teamwork and work commitment, high enthusiasm for scientific research.


Technician

• Direction of sleep behavior in mice

1. Biology, basic medicine and animal medicine are preferred, bachelor degree or above;

2. Experience in animal model establishment, sleep research and behavior experiment is preferred; Experience in programming and statistical analysis is preferred;

3. Working experience, good English level is preferred;

4. Serious and down-to-earth work, strong hands-on ability, independent thinking and problem-solving ability, good team spirit and communication skills.


• Cell and protein orientation

1. Graduate students with relevant professional backgrounds in biochemistry, molecular biology and cell biology;

2. Master at least one of the following experimental skills: molecular cloning, cell operation or Western blotting, mass spectrometry;

3. Serious and down-to-earth work, strong hands-on ability, and open learning attitude towards new things;

4. Candidates who have strong interest in scientific research or have a work plan of two years or more are preferred.


• Immunology and Virology

1. Major in molecular biology, immunology or Virology;

2. Immune related experiment and virus related experience is preferred;

3. Serious and down-to-earth work, strong hands-on ability, and actively participate in team research.


• Electrophysiological direction

1. Bachelor degree or above in biology or medicine;

2. Skilled neuroelectrophysiological operation skills;

3. Serious and down-to-earth work, strong hands-on ability, good team spirit and communication skills.


• Electron microscope orientation

1. Familiar with electron microscope sample preparation, ultrathin section or willing to learn this skill is preferred;

2. Serious and down-to-earth work, strong hands-on ability, and open learning attitude towards new things;

3. Candidates who have strong interest in scientific research or have a work plan of two years or more are preferred.


• Molecular biology and Drosophila behavioral direction

1. Bachelor degree or above in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology and other related majors;

2. Familiar with molecular cloning technology and its basic principle, with Drosophila experimental background is preferred;

3. Serious and down-to-earth work, strong hands-on ability, and certain interest in scientific research.


• Neurological diseases

1. Have relevant experience in nervous system disease research;

2. Serious and down-to-earth work, strong hands-on ability, and actively participate in team research.


• Direction of chemical analysis

1. Master degree or above in analytical chemistry;

2. Be able to develop LC-MS method and analyze LC-MS mass spectrometry data, and those with metabolomics research background are preferred;

3. Practical and serious work, with the ability to think and solve problems independently.


Intern Students

We welcome undergraduates or masters who are interested in applying for doctoral degrees to come to the laboratory for internships and accumulate research experience. Students are expected to have a background in biology, computer science or engineering and have enthusiasm for scientific research.
